After - School & Summer Day Camp Program
 
Throughout the year, this DCFS - licensed program provides youth ages 5 - 13 with a safe environment in which to spend their non-school hours. The program offers academic assistance through tutoring and homework assistance, life skills training, recreational activities. This program allows parents of more then 80 children to work during the standard business hours, secure in the knowledge that their children are being cared for by our staff.
 
Career Preparion & Guidance Program
 
This program is designed to provide youth between the ages of 14 and 21 with job skills training, career counseling and job search assistance. Though this program, youth are guided through a process designed to address their academic and career goals as well as enhance their personal, job and social skills development.
 
Tutor / Mentor Program
 
This program, designed for youth ages 6 to 21, will coincide with the regular school term. Youth will come twice a week or more to gain one-on-one and small group tutoring from volunteer tutors. The goal is to improve the academic performance and standardized test scores of youth each year of involvement as well as prepare youth for post secondary education.
 
Adventure Education Program
 
Basd on the same premise as programs such as Outward bound, adventure education involves activies geared towards youth ages 9 - 18. These activities take place in both wilderness and in-school/community-based settings and are designed to enhance social development, improve general health and fitness and expand the experiences of our youth. The wilderness initiatives are represented in three area:
  1. Canoeing
  2. Camping/Hiking
  3. Mountain biking (click the S.O.W. CYCLES link above)

Some of the in-school/community-based intiatives are climbing walls, team development activies, obstacles courses and community service projects.
